Algae & Micro-Organisms

Biomass Resources

The use of micro organisms such as Algae and bacteria to produce fuels and energy is a growing area of interest. These materials are typically fast growing and can absorb large quantities of CO2 as they do. Although the costs of cultivating and processing these Feedstock can be high. There is particular research focus on developing these Feedstock to produce valuable oils that can be processed into valuable liquid fuels.
